Enough About Me, Let's Talk About You. Open Mike.

When people ask me what I have gotten out of blogging, the answer is an easy one.  I have found a voice.  And I have found a community.  And that community is made up of all of you.

Sometimes you ask questions.  Sometimes you say thank you.  And sometimes you challenge me to look at things in new and different ways.  And for that, I thank you.

It's been a wild journey over the past few months.

But today I don't want it to be about me.  I want it to be about you.  About us.  About community.

After our rummage sale a few weeks ago for Child Hunger Ends Here, my friend Trish wrote a great post about the power of community. And it struck me.  That, for me, has been the greatest reward of this blogging journey.  The reward of finding a community.

So I have decided to open up my community on Blog Frog so we have a place to talk to each other. (If you haven't signed up with Blog Frog yet, you should.  It's quick, easy and free.)
I want to hear about you.  I want you to ask your own questions.  To share your own successes.  To reach out and ask for support for you, or your family, or the causes that mean something to you.

So come over.  Take a moment in introduce youself.  Not just to me but to the other people reading along.  Share whatever you are comfortable with.  Who you are, what you blog about, why you are here.

The mike is open.

So, to help warm up the crowd (if we're sticking with the open mike analogy)...

...I even have a fun giveaway, too.

And all you have to do to be entered is join in.  Be a part of the community.  You can find details here.

I hope you'll join us!
