So What's This About Being in the Newspaper?

As some of you may have heard me mention on Twitter, there is a strong chance* that we will be featured in the Pioneer Press this Sunday (yes, as in Mother's Day).

I was contacted a few months ago by a reporter from the paper who had learned about "The Snyder 5" from a friend.  She was working on a story for their upcoming home and garden magazine and wanted to talk to me about my 500 Pound Declutter Challenge.

We did a quick interview and left it at that.  About six weeks later, I heard from them again.  Change of plans.  Instead of a quick mention in the magazine, they were reconsidering and wanted to share my decluttering journey on Mother's Day.  In the paper.

As in the front page.

So over the past few weeks, I have talked more with the reporter.  They interviewed Brian (who promised not to make me sound too crazy).  And they spent an evening at our house taking photos of me with the boys.

So grab a cup of coffee on Mother's Day and enjoy.  Or laugh.  Or do both.




*I say "strong chance" as, after all, I work in PR.  And just like I say at work, this story is set to run "barring any breaking news."  Because clearly, and thankfully, breaking news we are not.
