Put The Crackberry Down

There I was.  Just multi-tasking in that decidedly 2010 way in the kitchen.  Making dinner.  Trying to supervise homework.  Asking the kids to puhlleeeze clean up the living room.  Asking Eli why he was filling 22 plastic cups with water and them dumping them from one to the other, flooding the floor.  All with my Blackberry in hand.

Cause while all that was going on, I was quite likely also checking Twitter...Facebook...e-mail...Hey, what's the weather tomorrow?..."this is a funny link..."...what was that recipe again?...What time does my early meeting start tomorrow?

And then, from the floor of the flooded kitchen I heard the splat, splat, splat of Eli walking through the puddles he had created.  I was kind of like Cindy Lou Who had wandered over with a message and was pulling on my pant leg, saying:

Oooonnneeee, Twooooo Down!

Ooooonnnnnnnneeee, Twooooooo, Dooooown!

I stopped all of what I was doing to look down to figure out what he was wanting or needing.

This is what I saw.

Yes, that is my almost two-year-old telling me to put the Blackberry Crackberry down.

So much for mutli-tasking.  I have officially been called out by a toddler.
