I'm Headed To Wisteria Lane

Yes, we are home.  And yes, I survived the flight(s).  And yes, it was fantastic.  How could sitting on a beach with your family not be?

More stories and plenty more photos to come.

But for now, I have to unpack all of the suitcases (amazing how good ocean water smells there and how bad it smells when you get home), wash the laundry, lament my peeling tan, pack again, and get ready to head to Wisteria Lane at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow.

Yes, that Wisteria Lane.

In case you missed it last week, I announced that I will be traveling, along with 13 other women from across the country to Los Angeles tomorrow.  While there, we will learn more about ConAgra Foods and their support of Feeding America through the Child Hunger Ends Here campaign.

While there, we'll have a busy, exciting, educational 24-hours including a visit to a food bank, a chance to learn more about the campaign and, on Wednesday, we head to the set for the national kick off rally including their celebrity spokesperson, Dana Delany.

I have shared with you what I am doing for my own fundraising and rally.  Now I am hoping you will join me.  In big ways and small, we can all make a difference.

From now through April 26, for each thing you do to help raise awareness (and/or funds) for this effort, you will be given an entry to win a Child Hunger Ends Here gift pack which will include season 4 of "Desperate Housewives" on DVD, coupons, a bag and more.

All you have to do is comment here to let me know what you are doing to help see that Child Hunger Ends Here.  Here are some ideas:

1. Blog about the campaign.  Link back here so people can learn more about it. Comment with your link.  (And for those of you who have already blogged about it, thank you!  Be sure to link in the comments of this post to your post so all can see it!)

2. Tweet about it.  You could use a message along these lines:

I am joining http://thesnyder5.com in their efforts to #fightchildhunger.  You can too! http://bit.ly/bQqv1v

3. Plan your own way of raising funds or awareness.  Blog about it, tweet about it, mention it on Facebook.  Be sure to link back here so people have a way to learn more.  And comment here to let me know you did it.

4. Go shopping!  Don't forget that for each Peter Pan, Banquet, Healthy Choice, Manwich, Orville Redenbacher's, Marie Callender's and Chey Boyardee item that is purchased between now and the end of May, ConAgra Foods will donate a meal to Feeding America.  (And check out the site for a $1.50 coupon.)

5. Or make up your own idea.

There is no limit to the number of unique entries you can have.  So be creative, have fun and, most importantly, remember that this is important.

If you're not already following me on Twitter, I'll be tweeting as I go, so be sure to start now...

Disclosure: I am excited to be an official blogging correspondent for ConAgra Foods during this campaign.  As such, ConAgra has provided me with background, information and a stipend to cover some of the costs I will incur.  The words and beliefs are mine.
