It Drives Me Nuts That You Can't Recycle...

I am a little bit neurotic about recycling.  And that is okay.  I'll own up.  I am the girl who sees you throw something away in the trash at work and, knowing it can be recycled, grabs it out of the trash and moves it over to the recycling when you leave the room.  I am the thorn in the side of the parking garage people who I keep asking about getting a recycling can in the garage instead of just trash.  I separate the cardboard back from the plastic front of toys and sort them.

Yup, that's me.  I am a recycling addict.

We often have moments at our house when we find ourselves saying, "It drives me nuts that you can't recycle ____________."

And the reality is, maybe you can.  So I have decided to stop complaining about it and see what I can find out or learn about those mystery items.

First item on the list?  Razor cartridge holders.  They are plastic.  But have no number on them.

For what we spend on razor refills, you think maybe we could at least feel good about dealing with the waste.

So I have sent emails to two of the major razor companies out there and just asked if they could tell me what kind of plastic they use and if they have a recycling program or recommendation in place.  I'll let you know what I learn.

And if you have any of those "It drives me nuts you can't recycle..." things, let me know.  If I have an answer, I'll let you know.  And if I don't, I'll see what I can find out.
