First, when you are doing the exact same routine night after night, by design, not a whole lot changes, right? My legs are less sore. My stamina is increasing. I still cannot seem to fake jump rope to save my life (and how sad is that?!) But I am still light years away from saying I am happy with the results.
I pulled up my Lose It app this morning to plug in my breakfast and decided to go back and check the program in terms of projected loss per week, calories, etc. The way it was set, I was going to hit my goal in about July. Ugh. I adjusted it to be closer to bathing suit time and, well, let's just say I have a lunch full of veggies and fruits today.
I had taken "before" photos on our little camera. They were never going to be posted or shared, just there for my reference. And then we were at our friends house over the weekend and I was taking photos. Brian picked up the camera to scroll back through them. I heard him exclain, "Wife, what are these??!!" He had found the before shots. I was mortified. Not that there were any surprises there, but still, not really something I was ever planning to share (and I give all of you who have shared them a ton of credit.) And I deleted them. Yup. Gone.
So there is the second reason. I was just feeling kind of deflated (or inflated if you looked at me, as in puffy and pudgy) about it all.
However, despite taking a break on Sunday, I got back to it last night.
And this morning, I decided to step on the scale this morning. And had to smile when it showed I was down 3.6 pounds from a week ago.
I did what anyone who needs justification would do and I googled "What weighs 3.6 pounds?" And the first link that came up was this.
The human brain.
So if there was any doubt, yes I have lost my mind.

L.O.L.!
But at least you haven't lost your sense of humor.
Good for you!
Nice, Molly! Way to go! Make sure you're getting some protein with all of your veggies or you'll be STARVING on a regular basis.
No worries, I nabbed a free sandwich left over from a meeting...so protein has been had.
Hahhaa. Just stumbled on this. I'm doing the Shred every so often and it kills. Love this post.
I've never heard of the 30 day Shred. I am planning on getting back to the gym after I get home from vacation.
I'm sorry to hear about your mind. My sincerest condolences. I've lost and gained, I mean, found mine so many times I've lost track.
Stopping by from SITS.
Hilarious. I would never have thought to google what weighs 3.6 pounds.
Good for you. Keep at it!
LOLOLOL, that is too funny! But I doubt you've lost your mind... maybe just a saddlebag or underarm flab? Lord knows, those are the first two places I always hope to lose a little weight. Congrats!
