Getting to Know Us

One of the blogs I read hosts a Sunday feature called "Getting to Know You."  As many of you are new to our blog in the past month (and to those of you who are most recently along the the ride, "hello and thanks for coming!"), I thought I'd take part.  Now granted, this is glib and silly, but my clothes in the wash aren't done, and my dishwasher isn't done, and my camera battery isn't charged, so I am killing time.

And I have been meaning to do a "Who are we..." post for awhile.  Having read the questions,  I am quite certain that, no, this won't fill that void, but it's filling my need to not do anything tonight.

So here goes:

1. If you were stranded on a desert island and could pick one person to be stranded with you..Who would you pick? Family members not included.

Wow, family members not included.  That is tough.  Because really, I'd take a group of people.  For a whole host of reasons.  But, you know, having just spoken to one of my dearest and oldest girlfriends tonight...even for just 22 minutes, I'd have to say Libby would be up at the top of the list.  She is thoughtful and insightful and funny and kind and smart.  And I can't imagine surrounding myself with better traits (and a better person) than that.  Add to that she is also a pretty girly-girl raising three boys and you have it.

2. Do you read celebrity gossip?

Ha.  Occassionally online.  And when I go to my parents' house, I am known to inhale a few old issues of People magazine.  Like I did while dying my hair on Christmas Eve, sitting on the floor of the bathroom with dye in my hair and a pile of "delightful trash" on the floor.

3. Favorite show you're watching this season?

Mad Med, Lost (soon, soon), Biggest Loser, Survivor

4. How tall are you?

5'7".  But I almost always wear heals.  So people think I am closer to 5'9."

5. What was the last book you read?

Well, given that Book Club is next Thursday, I really should be reading now.  But the last book I fully read was "Moo, Baa, La La La."  Oh, not that kind?  "My First Book of Trucks"?  I am being honest here.  But, okay, before that, the last book was "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo."

6. Flats or heels?

As mentioned in point #4, heels.  And I have the bunion to prove it.

7. If you had to choose one natural disaster to go through, what would you choose..Earthquake, Tornado, or Hurricane?

Yuck.  That is why I live in Minnesota (ok, one of the reasons), other than seasons and the occasional tornado, we are relatively natural disaster-free.  But of all of them, I'd say earthquake.

And I will omit question 8.  Sorry, I have that whole professional code of conduct thing at work to adhere to.  ;)
