It's just a game.
And still, me, the non-professional sports person is hoarse from screaming at it. And there is popcorn all over my floor that we spilled cheering for it.
But it's just a game. A game that really won't impact my life. Well, I suppose if they had won it might have given weight to the whole "the taxpayers should pay for a new stadium" deal, and that actually would impact my life. But I digress.
We all make mistakes.
It's just a game. And when there were tears and upset stomachs at the end (the kids, not us), I reminded them that tomorrow they need to think about their teachers and firefighters and police officers (and, hopefully, parents) whose jobs, day in and day out, actually mean something real and lifelong when they don't "complete a pass."
It's just a game.
But it sure would have been fun to have it be a winning game.
