He Knows When You've Been Good or Bad

Driving to my parents' house this afternoon, the kids got talking about Christmas and Santa.

Noah: I can't wait for Christmas morning to get up and have breakfast as a family and see what's in my stocking...  I sure hope I don't get coal.

Caleb: Nah, I don't think you'll get coal.  You are pretty good.

Noah: Yeah, you are right.  And really, teenagers are at the worst risk of getting coal anyway.  Cause they are the most likely to do bad things.  Like swear.

Caleb: Yup.  And they also smash pumpkins.

Noah: And swear.  A lot.

Caleb: They are way worse than us.

Noah: Yeah.  Mom you are really lucky we aren't teenagers.  You should tell Santa.

And if that is the case, we are so in trouble in a few years.

I love his comment about having breakfast as a family. What great values you are teaching your children!

Funny boys! At least Eli will still be a good little boy while the others are teenagers! ;)
